Gradient
Operating a 150K+ Research Community.
Community Operations Manager helping technical communities stay organized, informed, engaged, and safe.
2+ years operating research-driven and developer-focused communities across AI and Web3 — from a 150K+ member ecosystem to smaller developer communities requiring hands-on technical support.
I work at the intersection of community, technical research, and operations.
Over the past 2 years, I've helped operate research-driven and developer-focused Discord communities — including Gradient's 150,000+ member ecosystem.
My work goes beyond keeping conversations organized. I translate complex technical research into content communities can understand, design educational engagement campaigns, support developers, manage community structures, resolve conflicts, and help create environments where members can participate safely.
I approach community operations with a mediation-first mindset: understand the problem, communicate clearly, protect the community, and build systems that prevent the same problems from becoming recurring ones.
Core pillars of my community operations methodology.
Moderation, scam prevention, conflict resolution, community health, escalation, and maintaining safe environments at scale.
Turning complex technical research and product concepts into clear, accessible content that community members can actually understand.
Designing and hosting AMAs, quizzes, games, educational campaigns, and cross-community programs that encourage participation.
Helping developers and community members troubleshoot technical problems, navigate products, and resolve support requests.
Managing Discord roles, server structure, permissions, community organization, and the systems required to operate structured communities.
Resolving disagreements through a mediation-first approach while maintaining clear communication between members, moderators, and teams.
